Jim Esch
James D. "Jim" Esch (born December 6, 1975) was the Democratic nominee for the 2006 and 2008 general elections for ((map )) of the United States House of Representatives, challenging Republican incumbent Lee Terry. ==Biography== Esch was born in Omaha, Nebraska, the eldest of six children. He attended Creighton Preparatory School and Creighton University, both Jesuit-run schools. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration in 1998 and a J.D. from the Creighton University School of Law in 2000. He has served on the Boards of several Catholic charities, including the Siena Francis House homeless shelter, Heart Ministry outreach program and Black Student Catholic Scholarship Fund. Upon graduation from law school, Esch worked for the Steier Group, which provides professional development and public relations counsel to nonprofit organizations. From 2003 to 2005, Esch worked for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and served as director for the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership. Currently, Esch is a lawyer for Kinney Law, PC, LLO in Omaha.
